Geologic Sights

Our campervan travels have taken us to some awesome geologic features and processes – including colorful outcrops, massive walls, large glacial erratics, ancient coral reefs, and current ocean shoreline erosion. We are two geologists with differing interests. Betsy enjoys “soft rocks,” arctic geoscience, and micropaleontology. Rob focuses on “hard rocks” and hydrogeology. Retired, we still love to learn and teach. We intend to share our earth science explorations under this “Rocky Outposts” category. We also plan to discuss and document evidence of climate change we observe as we travel the byways of North America. The following images are just a few of the features we seen so far, stay tuned for more in depth discussions.
